Vasyl Lomachenko vs Anthony Crolla: Glove controversy
An unlikely dispute broke out at the weigh-in for Vasyl Lomachenko vs Anthony Crolla on Thursday.
The challenger’s promoter trainer Joe Gallagher requested the champion’s gloves be weighed before the bout, as he believed they felt lighter than usual upon inspection.
Gallagher even brought his own set of the scales to resolve the matter, however the Ukrainian’s team were sceptical about using these as a means of measurement.
The gloves will be weighed prior to the fight on an independent set of scales with Crolla’s team allowed to witness.
